Using the HL H2 Gas Detector to locate leaks in plumbing networks is a proven method for pinpointing the smallest leaks. Tracer gas is supplied to the test pipeline through a hydrant or house connection, which exits at the leak and is localized exactly at the leak. Tracer gas is the lightest and cheapest of all tracer gases. To localize the leak, a gas mixture consisting of 5% hydrogen and 95% nitrogen is used. This environmentally friendly gas mixture is non-flammable, non-toxic and non-corrosive. The maintenance-free sensor of the HL H2 is best suited for pinpointing even the smallest leaks due to its precise and fast pickup. Acoustic as well as visual indications support the user in the search for leaks. To locate leaks in enclosed spaces, the probes can be easily and simply separated from the carrying handles.
