Hydrophones are highly sensitive sensors for correlators and have been specifically designed to increase the measurement range of correlators in plastic and large diameter pipelines. Hydrophones are connected directly to the water column. The most suitable is the connection to hydrants. Other connections, such as house connections or water taps in houses, are also possible.
Due to their high sensitivity, SebaKMT hydrophones excel especially in the low frequency range. For this reason, they are particularly well suited for correlating plastic pipelines, long runs, and large diameter pipelines.
